About

Keep Gaza Warm This Winter

When temperatures drop, warmth becomes a luxury. This winter, help us distribute wood to families in Gaza, ensuring they can stay warm and prepare meals in the face of harsh conditions.

Freezing Nights, Fragile Lives

Winter in Gaza is brutal. Families living in makeshift shelters and damaged homes face life-threatening cold. Wood is not just warmth, it's survival.

Cooking for Comfort and Survival

With limited access to fuel, families are left without a way to cook. Your donations ensure parents can prepare meals for their children, bringing comfort in a harsh environment.

Empowering Families, One Bundle at a Time

Wood distribution isn't just about warmth, it's about dignity. Every bundle allows families to regain a sense of normalcy and provide for their loved ones.

A Network of Support

From sourcing wood to delivering it door-to-door, our dedicated team ensures every donation counts. This effort is a lifeline for Gaza's most vulnerable communities.

Let's honor Khaled Nabhan by creating a future where every child in Gaza has the chance to thrive. Donate now in his name and turn heartbreak into hope.

Palestine

What Is Happening

Families in Gaza have been displaced again and again, and the markets, clinics and water systems they relied on are gone. Hunger here is not a slow decline. It arrives in weeks, and it reaches children first.

What UMMA Is Doing

We work through kitchens and medical teams already inside these communities, because they know which streets to reach and they are there before we are. Your donation buys ingredients, fuel, medicine and the transport that gets all three to families who cannot travel to collect them.

Common Questions

  • Is my donation secure?

Card details go to Stripe and never reach our servers. We see the amount, the campaign and the receipt address, nothing else.

  • Are my donations tax deductible?

Yes, to the extent allowed by law. You receive a receipt for every donation, and all of them are in My Donations, in the UMMA app or your dashboard on the web.

  • Can I give my Zakat to UMMA?

Yes, and only to campaigns marked Zakat eligible. Zakat is restricted to the categories in Surah At Tawbah (9:60), so UMMA will not let it be applied anywhere else. If no eligible campaign is open, we say so rather than route it elsewhere.

  • How do you decide where donations go?

Donations go to the campaign you choose, and that campaign shows its own progress. If you donate without choosing one, funds go where the need is greatest at that moment.

  • Can I cancel a recurring donation?

Yes, at any time, in My Donations in the UMMA app or on the web. No email and no phone call. Gave without an account? The link in your receipt email cancels it.

  • Something went wrong with my donation. Who do I tell?

Email hello@ummafoundation.org with the receipt number and a person replies. Refunds follow the refund policy on this site.

  • What happens if this campaign does not reach its goal?

The work carries on with what was raised. Donations are not held back waiting for a total and they are not moved to another campaign: they go to this one, and the progress bar shows exactly where it stands.

  • What happens if it raises more than its goal?

It keeps accepting donations and the extra goes to the same work. A goal is what we planned for, not a cap on the need, and a campaign that has passed its goal is still the campaign you chose.
