About
Thirst Does Not Wait
In Gaza, clean water is not something a family can take for granted. Taps run dry. What is left is often unsafe to drink. Children fall sick from the very water meant to keep them alive. For a mother, few things are harder than watching her child go thirsty with nothing clean to offer.
UMMA answers this need in person, twice every week. Each distribution brings 5 water tanks, 1,000 liters each, 5,000 liters of safe drinking water carried straight to families who have none. No promises for later. Water today, and again in a few days, because thirst does not wait.

A Full Container Changes a Day
Watch a family carry clean water home and you see the relief on their faces. Water to drink. Water to cook. Water to wash a child's hands. Small things that a safe home never thinks about, and everything to a family that has lost almost all of it. We hand the water over in person, so no one is left waiting in a line for help that never comes.
Keep the Water Coming
This is not a one-time delivery. Families need water this week, and next week, and the week after. Your donation keeps the tankers moving and the containers full. Give today and a family in Gaza drinks clean water because of you. Build. Serve. Scale.

What Is Happening
Families in Gaza have been displaced again and again, and the markets, clinics and water systems they relied on are gone. Hunger here is not a slow decline. It arrives in weeks, and it reaches children first.
What UMMA Is Doing
We work through kitchens and medical teams already inside these communities, because they know which streets to reach and they are there before we are. Your donation buys ingredients, fuel, medicine and the transport that gets all three to families who cannot travel to collect them.
Common Questions
Is my donation secure?
Card details go to Stripe and never reach our servers. We see the amount, the campaign and the receipt address, nothing else.
Are my donations tax deductible?
Yes, to the extent allowed by law. You receive a receipt for every donation, and all of them are in My Donations, in the UMMA app or your dashboard on the web.
Can I give my Zakat to UMMA?
Yes, and only to campaigns marked Zakat eligible. Zakat is restricted to the categories in Surah At Tawbah (9:60), so UMMA will not let it be applied anywhere else. If no eligible campaign is open, we say so rather than route it elsewhere.
How do you decide where donations go?
Donations go to the campaign you choose, and that campaign shows its own progress. If you donate without choosing one, funds go where the need is greatest at that moment.
Can I cancel a recurring donation?
Yes, at any time, in My Donations in the UMMA app or on the web. No email and no phone call. Gave without an account? The link in your receipt email cancels it.
Something went wrong with my donation. Who do I tell?
Email hello@ummafoundation.org with the receipt number and a person replies. Refunds follow the refund policy on this site.
What happens if this campaign does not reach its goal?
The work carries on with what was raised. Donations are not held back waiting for a total and they are not moved to another campaign: they go to this one, and the progress bar shows exactly where it stands.
What happens if it raises more than its goal?
It keeps accepting donations and the extra goes to the same work. A goal is what we planned for, not a cap on the need, and a campaign that has passed its goal is still the campaign you chose.
