About
It Took 70 Days to Raise These Ducks
Seventy days of feed, water, and care, on land UMMA farms itself, until 3,000 ducks were ready. Not bought in a hurry for a photo. Raised, from the ground up, for exactly this moment.
We started because Palestinian families who have fled to Egypt cannot wait for a fundraising campaign to finish. So we did not wait either. We began 70 days ago. The ducks are ready today.
It is extremely difficult to cross into Gaza right now. But thousands of Palestinian families have already made it into Egypt, and some of them are living in El-Arish, right by the border. That is where the ducks are going. Straight to the families who are already there.

The Journey Is the Hard Part
Raising 3,000 ducks was the half we could do on our own. Getting them from our farm to a family in El-Arish is not.
Between the farm and the border is the work no one sees. Every duck slaughtered halal and processed. Kept cold on a long road across the country. Cleared through border coordination. Carried the last stretch by teams on the ground. This is the last mile, and it is the hardest and most costly part of the whole operation. It is also exactly where your donation goes.
Final delivery depends on border coordination. When each distribution is done, we post the proof: photos and confirmations from El-Arish. You will see where it went.
This Is Only the First Convoy
3,000 ducks is where we start, not where we stop. The farm feeds the mission, and the mission refills the farm. Every donation covers the journey today and helps build the next convoy, so we can do this again. Three times. Five times. Again and again, for as long as families need us.
We took the first step on faith. Take the second one with us. Build. Serve. Scale.
Egypt
What Is Happening
Thousands of Palestinian families have crossed from Gaza into Egypt, and some are living in El-Arish, right by the border. Crossing into Gaza is extremely difficult, so the families already in Egypt are the ones help can reach today.
What UMMA Is Doing
UMMA Farm grows olives and alfalfa on land UMMA owns, and the harvest is sold to pay for relief. It also raised 3,000 ducks for Palestinian families in El-Arish. Your donation pays for the farm and for the last stretch of road to the border.
Common Questions
Is my donation secure?
Card details go to Stripe and never reach our servers. We see the amount, the campaign and the receipt address, nothing else.
Are my donations tax deductible?
Yes, to the extent allowed by law. You receive a receipt for every donation, and all of them are in My Donations, in the UMMA app or your dashboard on the web.
Can I give my Zakat to UMMA?
Yes, and only to campaigns marked Zakat eligible. Zakat is restricted to the categories in Surah At Tawbah (9:60), so UMMA will not let it be applied anywhere else. If no eligible campaign is open, we say so rather than route it elsewhere.
How do you decide where donations go?
Donations go to the campaign you choose, and that campaign shows its own progress. If you donate without choosing one, funds go where the need is greatest at that moment.
Can I cancel a recurring donation?
Yes, at any time, in My Donations in the UMMA app or on the web. No email and no phone call. Gave without an account? The link in your receipt email cancels it.
Something went wrong with my donation. Who do I tell?
Email hello@ummafoundation.org with the receipt number and a person replies. Refunds follow the refund policy on this site.
What happens if this campaign does not reach its goal?
The work carries on with what was raised. Donations are not held back waiting for a total and they are not moved to another campaign: they go to this one, and the progress bar shows exactly where it stands.
What happens if it raises more than its goal?
It keeps accepting donations and the extra goes to the same work. A goal is what we planned for, not a cap on the need, and a campaign that has passed its goal is still the campaign you chose.
